Disharmony caused by improper statements with regard to religions could threaten national security, warns police media spokesman Nihal Talduwa.
Police are paying special attention to such matters and prompt steps, including arrests following complaints, are being taken with regard to any contentious statements, he said.
The SSP urged citizens against making controversial remarks with regard to religions.
