A coordinated intelligence operation conducted by the State Intelligence Service (SIS) and Sri Lanka Navy has led to the apprehension of a local multi day fishing trawler carrying a large consignment of narcotics and 06 suspects.
The apprehension was made by SLNS Vijayabahu in the high seas south of Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the drug-carrying vessel and suspects are expected to be brought to the port of Colombo today (18) for onward action.
