Parliament yesterday (28) passed by majority vote the resolution for the implementation of the arrangement under the extended fund facility of the International Monetary Fund.
Following a three-day debate, a vote was taken at which 120 MPs voted in favour, and 25 voted against.
The resolution was passed by a 95-vote majority.
A.H.M. Fowzie, Duminda Dissanayake and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa voted in support, while the JVP, FPA and SLC opposed the resolution.
The SJB and the TNA were absent at the vote.
