Former president Maithripala Sirisena says it is unreasonable to blame him over the Easter Sunday terror attacks since the suspects are in custody.
Speaking to journalists yesterday (25), he said Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith wants him to be the sole culprit and to see him jailed or hanged.
Noting that there is no final conclusion yet in the investigations still ongoing, Sirisena said another investigation report handed over to the president be made public as well to know the truth.
He also said it was questionable as to why the mobile phone data of attack mastermind Zahran Hashim were given to a foreign intelligence service, which could have contained key information.
The truth will come out one day, he added.
