Friends who used to be present at every birthday celebration of the late Mangala Samaraweera gathered at his Bolgoda home in the afternoon of April 20.
The occasion saw the launch of Sujith Akkarawatte’s book ‘Paduaba’ as a tribute to Mangala.
Also, a dialogue took place on how Mangala would have thought about the country’s present day problems had he been living.
Participants were social activists Jayani Abeysekara and Shehan Malaka, Prof. Rohan Samarajeewa, journalist Saroj Pathirana, lawyer Upul Kumarapperuma and Dr. Sujatha Gamage, while Chinthana Dharmadasa moderated.
