‘Senehase Yatrawa’, a campaign by the National Movement for a Radical Change against corruption and repression, continues for the second day today (20).
The Movement made its debut recently with ex-president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga as its patron.
The event started yesterday from five locations – Nallur Kovil in Jaffna, mosque at Sainthamaruthu, Madu Church in Mannar, Kataragama Maha Devale and Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy, said its convener Mahil Bandara.
Tomorrow, which incidentally marks the birth anniversary of the late Mangala Samaraweera, ‘Senehase Yatrawa’ converges on Colombo, where a lighting of lamps for peace takes place.
