(Paris) - Sri Lanka's top diplomat in France Manisha Gunasekara met members of the Sri Lankan community in that country on March 31.
She most recently served as an additional secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after having served as the high commissioner to the UK and as the ambassador to the Republic of Korea.
At her meeting with officials of Sri Lankan organizations, artistes and other activists in France, the ambassador emphasized the need for an efficient and effective consular service by the Embassy towards the Sri Lankan community in France.
She also referred to the 75 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries, the need to further elevate trade, investment and tourism relations as well as cultural cooperation.
