MP Sanjeewa Edirimanne has claimed his SLPP is without a formidable challenger even though the party stands to lose votes at elections.
Also media secretary of the SLPP, he was addressing party activists in Biyagama.
He gave figures of past election results and said despite an apparent wave of support for the JVP, no party would be capable of surpassing the SLPP at the electorate.
