Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa says that an election will likely be held before December this year.
He was speaking to the media at Abhayarama Temple in Narahenpita yesterday (27).
Rajapaksa also said his party, the SLPP, is ready to face any election that will be held.
In response to a question, the ex-president expressed hope that the party will be reunited in time.
