The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) incurred an approximate loss of Rs. 18,560 million in 2021, said the National Audit Office.
In comparison with a Rs. 55,250 m profit in 2020, this is a decline of Rs. 73,810 M in earnings.
The CPC should get Rs. 62,110 M from SriLankan Airlines and another Rs. 83,030 M from the Ceylon Electricity Board.
Heavy losses have further affected its net worth which stands negative.
