Police are to obtain an international red alert for the arrest of an organized criminal and drug trafficker presently in hiding in Dubai.
Identified as Lalith Kannangara, the western province (south) crime division took the first step by obtaining an open warrant against him from Avissawella courts yesterday (17).
Kannangara has been identified as the main suspect in a number of murders, several assaults, incidents of extortion and drug dealing in Hanwella.
