Courts have mediated in the transfer of ownership of four luxury vehicles that belonged to the late chief incumbent of Atamasthana, Ven. Pallegama Siriniwasa Thera.

Anuradhapura district court judge Nadika D. Piyaratne ordered that a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 jeep, Toyota Premio car and Toyota Hilux cab be given to the incumbent Ven. Pallegama Hemaratana Thera or the temple committee.

The ownership of a Honda Vezel jeep should go to a businessman of Anuradhapura, she also ordered.

That is being done as per a settlement reached by the parties to this vehicle dispute.

The petitioner businessman, P.M. Dayananada, claimed he had been closely associated with the late chief incumbent for 19 years and had looked after him until his demise.
