Online booking of seats in long-distance SLTB buses is now available.

The official launch of web portal sltb.eseat.lk, 1315 trilingual hotline and mobile app and the opening of a ticket counter took place at multipurpose transport hub at Makumbura.

State minister Siripala Gamlath was the chief guest on the occasion.

The SLTB has made online booking available at 40 locations across the island at the main bus stands in Kalmunai, Samanthurai, Kathankudy, Kinniya, Mannar, Mullaitivu, Kaduwela, Bandarawela, Tangalle, Makumbura, Negombo, Pottuvil, Kalavanchikudy, Eravur, Jaffna, Kilinochch, Kandy, Wellawaya, Bibile, Kataragama, Polonnaruwa, Mahiyangana, Akkarapattuwa, Ampara, Valachchena, Hatton, Karainagar, Maharagama, Dehiattakandiya, Galle, Ambalangoda, Anuradhapura, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Vavuniya, Point Pedro, Moneragala, Badula, Matara, Nuwara Eliya and Kadawatha.

It also provides other services such as seating date changes, SMS alerts of departing buses and details of time-tables, and enables boarding the bus at the nearest stop.

The SLTB is implementing the programme together with Hands Global Holdings Pvt. Ltd.

Also present at the launch were SLTB chairman M.D.L.K.D. Alwis, Hands Global Holdings CEO Suren Liyanage, western province road transport authority’s deputy general manager P. Ratnayake and greater Colombo transport network improvement project’s director Nalaka Dissanayake.
