Easter Sunday bomb attack mastermind Zahran Hashim's wife has been granted bail by the Kalmunai High Court after being detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) for four years.
Accordingly, Fatima Hadia was ordered a cash bail of Rs. 25,000 and two surety bails of Rs. 2.5 million each, and also imposed with a foreign travel ban on her and the bondspersons.
Five days into the coordinated bomb blasts on April 21, 2019, law enforcement teams clashed with militants at a safehouse at Sainthamaruthu in Kalmunai.
Hadia and her daughter sustained minor injuries in the incident.
She was later arrested by the CID and remanded by courts.
