The Health Ministry’s Medical Supplies Division (MSD) has refused to take delivery of a stock of medicines imported by a private supplier.

The MSD yesterday (13) turned down the 20 million tablets used in the treatment of epilepsy, noting that instead of the standard 10 tablets per card, each contained eight tablets only.

According to ministry sources, officials have come under pressure to accept the stock imported from India by a local pharmaceuticals manufacturer.
