Two Sri Lankan drug traffickers under arrest in Madagascar are expected to be brought back to Sri Lanka this morning (14).

A four-member CID team has gone to that country for Nandun Chinthaka alias ‘Harak Kata’ and Salindu Malshitha Gunaratne alias ‘Kudu Salindu’.

They will be accompanied by two Madagascan law enforcement officials.

According to a top CID official, the group is already in transit in India.

The arrest of the two along with six others, including Chinthaka’s Malaysian wife who had a large sum of money in her possession, was made on February 08.
