Public security minister Tiran Alles has decided against answering summons issued to him by the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL).
Alles was asked to be present at the HRCSL today (13), but he said his summoning was not made under the proper procedure, of which the commission would be informed.
He was to explain to the commission the police crackdown against protests by university students recently.
