The appointment of members to the independent commissions is likely to get delayed by several weeks, according to sources in parliament.
That is because selecting qualified persons from among nearly 2,000 applicants has become problematic.
Some of them have applied for membership in more than one commission to compound matters.
Also, there are applicants without the required qualifications, who will be listed separately, said the sources.
In the meantime, the Constitutional Council is looking into the possibility of appointing non-applicants with qualifications.
