From March 01, consumers will be able to pay their water bill via credit card or debit card upon receipt of the bill from the meter reader, said the National Water Board.
Its deputy general manager Piyal Padmanatha said the printed bill is already being replaced by an e-bill as well.
That will cover all consumers next year, he also said.
