SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa has given an assurance never to engage in character assassinations hereafter for political or other gains in his politics.
Tarnishing information, hearsay and irresponsible matters will not be made public and such hateful views and accusations will never be responded to, he said, in a social media campaign without any hatred.
According to him, the cyberspace including social media is today full of false news and activities that tarnish and encourage hatred and destroy privacy.
In a facebook post, the MP said a Cyber Leaders programme was launched from Hambantota to make cyberspace a beautiful place to create digital entrepreneurs and social media activists with dignity.
