The Election Commission is facing a shortage of vehicles for use in purposes relating to the upcoming local government polls after the treasury has ordered restrictions.
The treasury has instructed that state-owned vehicles be used for essential purposes only.
Earlier, a circular announced a releasing of funds only for essential services.
