Important documents belonging to the Kaduwela Municipal Council have been burnt at the crematorium at Gemunupura, Kotelawala, lankatruth.com reports.
Two lorries of the municipal council had taken the documents there several days ago, according to JVP councilor Asitha Niroshan.
A meeting of the MC on February 01 was not told about the burning of the documents, he said and questioned the basis for destroying institutional property without approval.
