The Finance Ministry is managing the country’s finances with serious difficulties amid the economic crisis, said finance state minister Shehan Semasinghe.
Answering questions posed by journalists during a briefing in Anuradhapura yesterday (05), he said ministry officials were coming under influence and pressure from various parties in the management of state expenditure.
They are committed to releasing funds required to meet essential needs of the public, he added.
