Only two situations could lead to a postponement of the local government polls now, said Election Commission chairman Nimal Punchihewa.
One depends on the verdict of an ongoing court case relating to the election and the other is through a constitutionally-adopted act, he said.
He has told Neth News the LG polls could be conducted even under an Election Commission with new members.
