Chairman of the Tangalle Urban Council W.P. Ariyadasa and member Araliya Erandima left the UPFA and obtained membership of the SJB yesterday (21).
They received their membership from MP Dilip Wedarachchi and handed in nominations to contest at the local government polls under the SJB.
At a media briefing attended by three of them, Ariyadasa and Erandima said they decided to join a party capable of doing a job, since the SLPP and the JVP had not allowed them to serve the people of the Tangalle urbanity.
