The police officer who grabbed two on-duty female constables from their necks and pushed them during a protest in Panadura recently is among 30 officers who have lost their OIC positions.
According to ‘Lankadeepa’, he has been transferred to Gampaha police division without a posting.
That is also the case of 30 out of 260 OICs who were given transfers a week ago.
DIG in charge of human resources management M.N. Sisira Kumara on December 23 issued the order to transfer them on service requirements.
