At their talks at the Irish parliamentary complex in Dublin, the visiting group explained the economic crisis and state repression of opponents back home.
Issues of Sri Lankans pursuing higher education in Ireland also came under discussion.
The visiting delegation also witnessed sessions of the Irish parliament.
