An additional secretary to the Health Ministry has allegedly demanded personal returns to award a tender to a minister’s daughter for the purchase of oxygen generators.
The accusation comes from president of the association of health professionals Ravi Kumudesh.
The official, who is nearing his retirement, has asked that he be given an extension, as well as money to spend once he retires, Kumudesh charged.
For all that, the additional secretary has said that the tender should be awarded to the highest bidder.
The tender in question bears the reference no: BES/PG/Covin/19/2021/31E and the procurement is to be made through the Global Fund.
