Police have been ordered to record a statement from former president Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the Rs. 18 million in cash recovered from the President's House by protestors on July 09.
Colombo Fort magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday (11) took up a related case and also ordered an investigation on the basis of Rajapaksa’s statement.
President's counsel Rienzie Arsecularatne noted that the former president was yet to be questioned over the money found from his bedroom.
