A captain of the Army’s Special Forces died in a road mishap in Welikanda in the early hours or yesterday morning (22).
Capt. Devinda Woodward and a team were on their way to the SF training camp in Maduru Oya, when their Defender jeep veered off the road and hit a tree, said military spokesman Brig. Ravi Herath.
A resident of Millawana in Matale, the deceased was aged 27 years.
Three other Army personnel are in hospital with injuries.
