Canadian high commissioner David McKinnon has expressed Canada’s intention of assisting Sri Lanka in overcoming the present crisis and ensuring economic stability at the earliest.
McKinnon said so when he met minister of public security Tiran Alles in Colombo yesterday (26).
They discussed bilateral diplomatic ties and the current situation in the country and protests against political developments.
High commissioner McKinnon highlighted the importance of protecting human rights.
