US ambassador Julie Chung was hosted to dinner by state minister of tourism Diana Gamage at her home at Akuregoda in Thalawathugoda last Friday night.
The second officer of the American embassy in Colombo, as well as minister Susil Premajayantha, former minister Ravi Karunanayake, Gamage’s husband Dr. Senaka de Silva and several members of her personal staff, too were present.
The attendees discussed in detail the economic crisis and tourism promotion, with Karunanayake making several related suggestions.
