The Governor of the North-Western Province Raja Collure has passed away while receiving treatment for COVID-19.
He was aged 83 at the time of his demise.
He was admitted to a hospital after being infected with the virus on December 03.
Mr. Collure served as an MP and the Chairman of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka
