Veteran actress Hyacinth Wijeratne has passed away following a road accident at Lindula, Thalawakele on Friday (29) night.
She was 75 years of age at the time of her demise.
Police Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said stated that the van she was travelling in had fallen down a precipice at Lindula in Thalawakele.
He said that Lindula Police has arrested the driver of the van over the accident.
