The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) has granted permission for all passenger airlines arriving in Sri Lanka to carry fully vaccinated passengers without any limitation of passenger numbers per flight.

According to the directives issued by the Minister of Tourism and Aviation, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Themiya Abeywickrama has informed all airlines yesterday that the new set of guidelines to be followed when landing in Sri Lanka from August 1.

There will be no limitation of passenger numbers per flight for fully vaccinated passengers provided they have been administered with the relevant doses and 14 days have lapsed along with the requisite vaccination certificates as well as for passengers arriving through the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio-Bubble.

All passengers mentioned above are to be carried in compliance with Health Ministry and Civil Aviation Authority directives in force.
