The police will continue with operations to curb crimes by rectifying shortcomings in the ‘Yukthiya’ operation, said newly-appointed acting IGP Priyantha Weerasuriya.
More operations would be carried out by deploying personnel who had been given other duties in the past, he said.
Weerasuriya was speaking to the media after paying homage at Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy yesterday (29).
He requested the public to inform if they don’t receive the service expected of the police.
