The High Commissioner of India to Sri lanka, Santosh Jha called on President-elect Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the JVP head office today (22).
Conveying greetings from India’s leadership, High Commissioner Jha congratulated Mr. Dissanayake on winning the people’s mandate.
He reaffirmed that India, as Sri Lanka's civilisational twin, is committed to further deepen ties for the prosperity of the people of the two countries.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated President-elect Anura Kumara Dissanayake for his victory and said he looks forward to working closely with him to further strengthen the Indo-Lanka multifaceted cooperation.
