An island wide curfew has been imposed effective from 10.00 pm today (21) to 6.00 am tomorrow.
The president has declared it by gazette notification 2402/23 as per the powers vested in him by the public security act.
Noting the situation to be peaceful, police request the public to remain in their homes for the duration of the curfew.
