Derana TV carried a trailer for its ‘360’ political talk-show to announce that SJB presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa will attend the programme.
However, SJB’s media secretary Erananda Hettiarachchi says that the channel had been informed that Premadasa would be unavailable for the programme due to his busy schedule.
That has come in a letter he has sent to Derana TV’s director Yuvaraj Atukorale.
But, Atukorale claimed their invitation had been accepted by one Sajith Nimesh who said that it had been noted down on the SJB leader’s diary as a live recording.
Atukorale also said in a letter to Hettiarachchi that he had never been told by Premadasa, when he called him several times thereafter with regard to the matter, that he would not attend the talk-show.
