In a letter to Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, President's Counsel Rienzie Arsecularatne asks whether it is possible to believe that justice will be served regarding the terrorist attack on Easter day on April 21, 2019, if Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) candidate Sajith Premadasa wins this year's presidential election.
In the letter dated 15 September and addressed to Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, Arsakularatne says that despite Cardinal's and others petitions submitted to the Supreme Court stating that Deshabandu Tennakoon is unfit to hold the position of Inspector General of Police, Professor Agalakada Sirisumana Thero, who requested the Supreme Court to remove the interim order imposed on the former Inspector General of Police and to dismiss all the above cases filed by the petitioners, has now become a strong supporter of Sajith Premadasa's election platform.
In his letter, Arsakularatne further asks Cardinal Ranjith whether, if presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa becomes President, justice will be served in his administration regarding the attack on Easter Sunday.
The letter, sent with copies to 14 Episcopal Bishops, is found below.
